1. Planning
This is essential if the site is to achieve its goal
and communicate effectively with its target audience.
We will:
- Help identify your target audience and the purpose of the site (e.g. maximise product sales),
- Plan the content of the site (via a quote/site map ),
- Discuss a promotion strategy (i.e. how to achieve relevant traffic to the site),
- Agree a timetable, including collation of content text, graphics etc., go live date,
- Setup and arrange hosting facilities.
2. Design and Coding
At this stage we begin graphical design and coding for the site as well as:
- Domain registration e.g. www.yourcompany.com,
- Set up e-mail accounts,
(i.e. yourname@yourcompany.com)
- Design draft graphics, menu systems and animation's for your prior approval
before integration into the site,
- Integration of text and other content,
- There usually follows a period of small amendments to the design to achieve the effect desired,
- Site testing and then GO LIVE, for the world to see.
3. Promotion, Feedback and Maintenance
This final stage is very important to the continued success of the site, and may involve the following:
- Quarterly submission to search engines, directories and other web sites
to notify the world of your presence,
- Online promotion strategy action (e.g. banner placement,
newsgroups notification, links inward etc.),
- Off-line promotional strategy, e.g. press releases, targeted advertisements,
web/e-mail address added to all stationery,
- Feedback from users and web site statistics,
(i.e. studying your visitors and their behavior at the site)
- Periodic update to the content of the site. |
